Nicole Rueth has been passionately advising clients on their home financing strategies for over 15 years. Her path has been as non-conventional as it is a benefit to her clients. As a BBA Finance graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she went to work for Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting as a strategic business reengineering consultant. Nicole’s draws on her past experience of managing 100 person teams and facilitating million dollar solutions allows her to negotiate, analyze and provide creative solutions for her clients where other lenders fall short. After the birth of their three children, Nicole stepped out of her corporate traveling schedule and went to work for a friend to reinvigorate and redesign his mortgage company. Here is where she found her passion. Where others in the industry were focused on the “deal”, she developed a passion for helping the client first.
Focused on building her knowledge capital, Nicole started in the operations side of Mortgage Financing, including warehouse management, lender relationships, FHA/HUD approval, post-closing, and loan product management. This background before originating mortgage loans gives Nicole’s clients a success ratio unparalleled in the industry. Added to that, Nicole offers her clients a closing guarantee; putting her reputation behind her commitment to closing on-time and under-budget every time.

When not at work, Nicole is an adventure/fitness nut. She can be found at a Spartan Race or Tough Mudder, climbing a fourteener or on one of Colorado’s amazing bike trails. She has 3 beautiful children, a husband of over 21 years and 2 dogs, who can be seen running beside her around the DU area.
With over 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, David is very knowledgeable about the changes in the business and how they directly impact his clients. David’s career came full circle when joining the Rueth Team as a dedicated Sales Manager. He first started in the industry as an originator and after several years working on the corporate side, along with mortgage securities, he is back doing what he truly enjoys. Due to his background, David has extensive experience with originating, underwriting and experience with every facet of the mortgage. His knowledge is surpassed only by his passion to help every client find the customized solution that fits their mortgage needs. He stresses the importance of integrity, honesty, respect, communication, and team work to achieve success not only with his clients, but with his referral partners and team members. David uses his 15+ years of mortgage experience to bring the best possible service to borrowers as well as using that same experience to help foster deep relationships with realtors and listing agents. When he is not helping other families with their home financing, David loves spending time with his family, friends, and enjoying everything beautiful Colorado has to offer.
Emily Lundy joined The Rueth Team in 2015 as a licensed loan officer and production partner. She has over 5 years in mortgage operations. Emily guides the loan from contract to close, acting as the primary contact for all in-process clients. She meets with borrowers to explain and gather signatures on all initial loan disclosures, obtains all required loan and income documents, structures and prequalifies deals, and orders appraisals. Emily can also assist borrowers in determining their long term goals as well as aiding in budgeting and credit repair. She is an expert on all specialty products offered including down payment assistance and VA loans. Emily graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2010 and likes to fish and play viola in her free time.
Danielle joined The Rueth Team in 2015 as the Executive Assistant/Marketing Assistant. Danielle’s position has since morphed into main Team Support, allowing her to enjoy a wide range of duties in an effort to make the loan process as smooth as possible for clients, referral partners, and the team. She thrives by learning all aspects of the mortgage industry and is driven by customer satisfaction through authentic connection. For the past 10 years Danielle has relished the fast-paced and dynamic environment of the mortgage industry which requires constant learning and change in order to consistently provide exceptional customer service. When she isn’t at the office you can most likely find Danielle on the soccer field, watching sports with her family, spending time outside with her husband and 2 dogs, or just simply being crafty around their house.
Peter is the newest member to the Rueth Team family. After working for 18 years on some of the most technically complex and multi-million dollar deals, Peter brings his financial acumen to help our clients navigate retirement management plans through the utilization of a reverse mortgage. As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a double major in Business Management and Computer Science he went to work for a small software company in Dallas, TX where he quickly became one of the more successful project managers. Soon after completing his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas in Arlington, Peter joined Anderson Consulting, now Accenture, where for 18 years he worked as a strategic deal shaper. Having managed multiple resource teams and overseeing multi-million dollar deals; Peter gives the team a unique advantage for negotiating, analyzing and providing solutions for our clients where other lenders fall short.
When not at work, Peter enjoys trying to keep up with a fitness regime. When time allows, he enjoys playing golf, scarfing down BBQ and attending his kids multiple sports activities. He has 3 beautiful children, a wife of over 21 years and 2 dogs, who can be seen meandering beside him around the University Park area.
Tonja Spencer has over 20 years of experience in the mortgage business, from Processing to Servicing. As a Loan Processor for the Rueth Team, Tonja reviews the loan for accuracy and consistency of story and is a primary point of contact for every client. Tonja truly enjoys interacting with borrowers at every stage of the mortgage process. She is very passionate about providing excellent service to our clients and ensuring the path to closing is smooth and effortless. Tonja is a native to Colorado and enjoys all of what the state has to offer from sports to outdoor activities.
Devin joined The Rueth team at Fairway as his first foray into the mortgage industry and he is excited with what the future holds! He is responsible for supporting the Rueth Team by ordering all third party services including: title documents, insurances, tax documents, and verifications of employment. Devin is responsible for getting the file organized and ensuring a complete loan is ready for our Processors. When not at work you can find Devin spending time outdoors. When not on an outdoor adventure you can usually find Devin curled up with a good, thick book.
Trevor May joined The Rueth Team in August of 2017 as the Client Relations Specialist. He was previously employed for a national bank and then a credit union experiencing positions ranging from teller to loan officer. Personal connections and the desire to help people have led him to the mortgage industry and is why client relations is so important to him. When he’s not working he enjoys fishing and hiking with his dog anywhere in the Rocky Mountains.
Cara Nelson joined The Rueth Team in July of 2017 as Nicole’s Executive Assistant and team Office Administrator. She was recently in Fort Collins, Colorado finishing her degree and working as a fashion merchandiser. New to the industry, she is learning all the ins and outs of the world of mortgage. When she is not working she either at a movie or baking chocolate chip cookies.
